Urban Electric Power was pleased to exhibit at the 2018 NY-BEST Annual Meeting & Conference. As a NY-BEST Technology Consortium member, UEP work closely with the organization to promote energy storage deployments in New York State. This years conference was well attended and the UEP team greeted many booth visitors eager to learn more about our unique technology.  In the rapidly evolving battery market, UEP's rechargeable alkaline technology stands out as a safe and affordable energy storage solution.

On the first day of the conference, UEP's VP of Manufacturing Andy Naukam was a panelist for the session titled Energy Storage Manufacturing, Product Development, and Recycling. A 30-year battery manufacturing veteran, Andy shared his experience of UEP's recent production expansion at our Pearl River, NY facility. Of the key lessons learned: flexibility and versatility are crucial when scaling a new battery technology

For the second year in a row, Urban Electric Power participated in The Battery Show 2016, co-located with the Critical Power Expo and Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, MI.

This year's show was larger than last year's, and was a great opportunity to meet with vendors, manufacturers, integrators, and financiers of energy storage. Many of our staff members attended the event, and we had a booth which featured samples and more information about our Zinc Manganese Dioxide batteries.

On Monday, Urban Electric Power participated in a roundtable discussion on expanding export opportunities in Westchester County and the Lower Hudson Valley. The attendees included our Director of Operations, Ann Marie Scuderi, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a member of President Obama’s Export Council, Fred P. Hochberg, the chairman and president of the Export-Import (EXIM) Bank of the United States, and Congresswoman Nita Lowey.

Last week was the Electric & Hybrid Marine World Expo, held at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Participants from around the world presented cutting edge electric & hybrid marine propulsion technologies, including microturbines, drive control systems, emission reduction technologies, fuel cell technology, and energy storage solutions.

Urban Electric Power had a booth at the event, where we showcased our clean, affordable, and safe zinc manganese batteries.
